Gypsy Vanner Experience Summary
Observing the Gypsy Vanner in its element was like witnessing poetry in motion, a captivating display of beauty and vitality that spoke to the heart, leaving an indelible impression of the extraordinary creature that roamed the boundless expanse of the world. This experience is a very special opportunity to photograph Gypsy Vanner horses.
The experience included the following:
2 days of photographing Gypsy Vanner horses September 19th and 20th. Sunrise and Sunset, field shots and barn shots with constant light.
Day 3, September 21std Presentation on editing techniques when working on equine images. This will be at The Barn. The Barn is the center of the property that many of us are staying at.
• Custom Photoshop brushes provided for this workshop.
• 1 hour of private mentoring ($250 value) for each attendee scheduled at your convenience. Does not expire. Must be present at day 3 editing seminar.
• Recording of editing seminar ($85 value) from day 3. Must be present at day 3 editing seminar to receive this recording!
Location For Meet and Greet, Editing Seminar. This Is Called The Barn.
Hotel or Bed and Breakfast accommodations are not included. We have a few spots left at location where the meet and greet and editing seminar will be and I am staying. This location is big enough for 11 people, in several units. The spaces are gorgeous and each bedroom is private with private bathrooms for each person. There are several AirBnB's all connected. There is 1 private unit left called The Cottage, 2 private bedrooms with private bathrooms are left in the unit called The House.

Our accomodations are about 25 minuets from the farm, but worth it. keeping us in the wonderful Lancaster countryside.
Located in rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, this farm is home to over 15 adult horses. There are usually baby horses available for our enjoyment too. They breed champion blood line Gypsy Vanner Horses. We will be photographing in the barn to capture dramatic headshots and full body posed horses and out on the fields both sunrise and sunset. There will be sunrise and a sunset experiences and several in barn experiences. There is not a lot around the area as far as fast food for early morning grab and go. Plan accordingly. On your own for lunch and dinner. Our lunch breaks will be long since we are shooting early morning and evening.
This experience includes a wonderful "getting to know" the Amish family that owns there amazing horses. They are fine with photography of their kids and photography of them in their buggy. If you would like, attendees can experience riding in the Amish buggy.
Tentative schedule:
Meet and greet Thursday night at The Barn. We will make this a pizza party. BYOB
Friday morning September 19th, we will meet up at the farm at 6:30 am. We will photograph outside if lighting works or inside first. Then we will take a break for lunch. In the afternoon we will continue working with these horses both inside and out. I will provide constant light by Nanlite. We will finish with magical sunset photos. Dinner on your own.
Saturday September 20th we will meet at the farm at 6:30. If the weather cooperates we will get gorgeous sunrise, or foggy misty early morning photos. We will continue taking equine photography for several hours and then break for a long, on your own lunch break. We will meet back up at the farm for possible barn photos, aka head and body posed photographs, and then pre sunset around 4 and continue through sunset.
Sunday September 21st Presentation on editing techniques when working on equine images. 10 - 4 pm this will be back at The Barn. A light lunch will be provided.
The Double Tree Resort is very close to the farm if you are traveling with family. The farm is in Quarryville, PA. Downtown Lancaster is 20 minuets away with lots of options. There are bed and breakfast locations and airbnb options along with other hotels in all directions.

Canceled 180 days or more before September 18th, 2025: full refund minus $150 admin fee.
Canceled 179 - 90 days before September 18th, 2025: 50% refund minus $150 admin fee. No refund unless we find a replacement guest or have a waiting list.
Canceled 90 - 1 day before September 18th, 2025: No refund unless we find a replacement guest. You will have the option to move to the next workshop or receive a credit for the website classes or another workshop.
Cancelation Of Workshop
The workshop can be cancelled due to medical emergency, family emergency or unsafe travel. If this happens you will receive a full refund. Any incurred expenses for your travel to and from the workshop are not covered by Judy Reinford Photography. We suggest you purchase travel insurance.

Course Curriculum
Judy Reinford M.Photog.,M.Artist,CR. MAI
In 1989 Judy graduated from Kutztown University and started working in photography for Hess’s department store. She photographed everything from china to jewelry to bed linens. Looking back, climbing a 10 foot ladder to use an 8x10 film camera to photograph products that were printed on plastic and backlit for store displays was fun and challenging. There was no Photoshop.
In 1994 Judy started working at an ad agency in pre-press, scanning film on a large drum scanner
and working in Photoshop to edit and composite. This led to a job at Rodale Press, continuing
to do the same thing
Returning to photography with her new skills, Judy started a career as a fine art photographer. Judy specializes in Equine and Pet photography. Her studio is located in Bath, Pennsylvania. As a mom to 7 spoiled Pomeranians, Judy enjoys working with the unpredictability, high energy, and often time challenging task of photographing animals big and small.
Judy’s interest in zoo photography came about with her interest in print competitions. This led to an interest in fundraising and donating to the zoo’s finished work for Gala silent auctions. Having a charity or nonprofit that matches the type of art she created was a perfect match. Judy Reinford has a BFA in Communication Design and Fine Art Photography from Kutztown University in Kutztown, PA.
